Spend a few hours with glamazon Ashley Graham and you’ll notice not just high-fashion editorials and major ad coups that have made her a a few things. Serbian export Bo Krsmanovic is thankfully forgiving when you inevitably butcher her name. Bo, she says, "is short for Bojana, actually." Then she patiently gives you the phonetic version of her surname: "Kras-MAN-o-vich." She laughs before adding, "Nobody knows how to pronounce it. It's a little bit annoying." Be that as it may, Bo's name is sure to become more familiar. In the past year she became the star of arguably the most controversial swimsuit cover of all time, the popular host of the successful Lifetime spin- off Project Runway: Junior, re-created the iconic role of the girl in the Ferrari in last year’s National Lampoon reboot, Vacation, and captured the heart of her fiancé, former Yankee and five-time World Series Champion Derek Jeter. Spend a minute with her and it’s obvious why the 25-year-old has risen to the top of her profession.

Jasmine Tookes has spent a good portion of the last year draped in $3 million worth of diamonds and emeralds, trailed by a security guard, and jetting from New York to Paris and back again. Christened a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2015, last year she rocketed to the pinnacle of lingerie model-dom when she was chosen by the brand to don its jeweled "Fantasy Bra"—which is a very big deal, thank you very much. It's like going from rookie to MVP in just two seasons, and Tookes is elated. The fact that she's only the third black model to score that honor—after Tyra Banks and Selita Ebanks—is icing on the cake. When she heard she'd been chosen to wear the pricey undergarment, she cried.

Somewhere, in a parallel universe, Nina Agdal is the most attractive dentist in Denmark. As a teenager, the athletic blonde briefly considered a career in oral hygiene, eventually jettisoning those plans because of the years and years of study involved. "One of my best friends back home still has two years left to go in the course," she adds, contemplating the life in scrubs that might have been. Fortunately for the rest of us (and a certain Hollywood superstar boyfriend), instead of examining molars, at 18 Agdal flew to Miami to become a model. "English was my worst subject in school," she says. "I was very shy about saying anything and was so scared. I landed with $40 and a little piece of paper with the address for the model apartment." She remembers crying at the airport as she struggled to communicate with a taxi driver. But after just two heady years she skyrocketed to fame as the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue's "Rookie of the Year."
